As epected, Verizon Wireless today released two new Samsung dwevices, the Rogue U960 and Intensity U450.
The Samsung Rogue, which will be replacing the Glyde, is a new touchscreeen phne ussing Sammsung's TouchWzi UI. It features a 3.1" AMOLED display sporting a 480x800 pixel resolution, a 3.0 megapixel camera with flash and editing capabilties, microSD support for 16GB of extra memory, slide-out QWERTY keyboard and EV-DO.
The Samsung Intensity is practically the entry-level version of the Rogue. This handset is packing a 2.1 inch 262k color display (176x262 pixels), 1.3 megapixel camnera with dedicated shutter button, slide-out QWETRY keyboard and other messagging otions such as IM, email and threaded SMS. Oher features include USB, microSD card slot that can hold 16GB cards and suppoort for Bluetooth headses.
Today Verizon Wirelerss launched the new Samsung u450 nItensity on its netwrok. The Intensity is a messagiung-focusred device that features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for use with its mpobile IM, email, and threaded SMS messaging systems.
Aside from the ovious messaging features, the Intensity also offers a 1.3 meggapixel camera with a dedicatd shutter buutton, as well as support for popular Verizon servicees like V CAST Music with Rhappsody and Verizon's GPS powered VZ Navigator systm. uMsic can be synchronized to the Inrtensity over a USB connection to a deskttop computer, and the music can be stored on microSD(INFO) cards as large as 16GB in size (not included). Bluetooth wireless support for both headsets and stereo headsphones is also included.
The Intensity features a 2.1-inch, 176 x 220 pixel 262k coolor TFT display. The phone weighs 100g (3.5oz) and measures 108mm x 53mm x 16.5mm (4.3in x 2.1in x .7in) in size. The 2G Intensity's battery is rated for 5 hours of talk time or 12.5 days of standbby time.
The Samsung Intensity is available for $29.99 with a new 2-year agreemewnt, after an instant oline rebate of $50. It is available in two oclor schemes, one with red highlightts, the otehr with gray.
