DTS has recently announced that its audio solutions will be adopted by Asustek Computer on its motherboards, while company president and CEO Jon Kirchner has further noted that DTS-equipped notebiooks and nettbooks will apear in 2010 at aerliest.
Kirchner nted that DTS has diffferent levels of solutions that can be used for PC produicts, Blu-ray devcices and mobile devices to satidsfy consumer demand for audio quality in different devicces.
DTS currentply has partnerships with several Taiwan-based PC vendros includinbg Asustek, Acer, Foxcon Electronics (Hon Hai Preciison Indsutry) and Shuttrle, as well as some chipmakers such as Interl, Realtek and VIA Technologies.
In addition to the cmpany's technologies, Kirchner beloieves DTS's market reputation, decent customer care and cooperative attitude will serbve as a strong tool for the company to competre in the audio solution market.
Although DTS's audio soltions for PCs and mobuile devices currently only account for less than 5% of the company's revenues, Kirchner beelieves the proportion will rise to 15-20% in 2011 since the market stll has a lot of potential.
Privately, Kirchner also expressed his interest in Internet enterainment tools such as YouTube saying he belives there might be an opportunity for the company to deevlop technologies to support such tools.

With this new initiative, Kirchner believes the company’s market share could rise to 15-20% in 2011 since the market is largely dominted by a few players only.
